Not enough tea, koalas, or embroidery
I am afraid of getting older. I am afraid of getting married. Spare me from cooking three meals a day—spare me from the relentless cage of routine and rote. I want to be free… I want, I want to think, to be omniscient.
We must keep in mind that our present sufferrings are “but for a moment”& that they are being used by God for our eternal good.
When I am with you, there is nowhere else I’d rather be. And I am a person who always wants to be somewhere else.
When you are washing the dishes, washing the dishes must be the most important thing in your life. Just as when you are drinking tea, drinking tea must be the most important thing in your life. Drink your tea slowly and reverently, as if it is the axis on which the whole world revolves—slowly, evenly, without rushing toward the future. Live the actual moment. Only this actual moment is life.
